Seriously, NBA, please just stop with this whole “sleeved jersey” thing. It’s not a good look.
We’ve already suffered by seeing our Lakers wear the sleeved jerseys during Christmas Day, though the December 25 uniforms look like a work of art in comparison to the 2014 NBA All-Star Game jerseys.
Today, the sleeved All-Star jerseys for Kobe Bryant and LeBron James were leaked and they’re hideous. Take a look for yourselves:
Would any of you really buy these jerseys?
Adidas are said to be pushing the jerseys as they think some men will feel more comfortable wearing a jersey with sleeves rather than without. Surely you can just put a t-shirt under a traditional NBA jersey, though?
Right now, Kobe has the most All-Star votes among all Western Conference backcourt players, though there’s still a chance that he may decide to sit this one out – and also avoid having to wear this hideous jersey – if he isn’t fully back from his fractured left knee by then. There’s also always the possibility that he could start the game, play a few minutes and then call it a night.
