All kinds of Nike Kobe 9 high tops are being released right now, though it looks as if the Black Mamba is about to mix it up with a low top version of the 9s.
In a recent interview with Sneaker Bar Detroit, Kobe Bryant acknowledged that he wouldn’t be shying away from the low top line that has been so innovative and successful in recent years.
In the photos of the Kobe 9 lows – which are expected to be released on March 29 and will retail for $160 – you can clearly see that Bryant’s love for soccer has inspired the design of this Flyknit shoe.
In short, the Kobe 9 low tops look very similar to a soccer boot. This isn’t anything new, though, seeing as the entire low top concept was inspired by Kobe’s love for the sport he grew up playing while living in Italy as a child. Bryant even released the soccer boot-inspired Kobe 8 “Mambacurial” kicks last year to pay homage to the beautiful game.
As always, keep an eye out on the official Nike website when the release date rolls around at the end of the month. It’s always worth checking out Foot Locker, eBay and Amazon, too.
