Yep, the kid is a lot of fun.
D’Angelo Russell had his best performance as a pro so far last night against the Sacramento Kings.
While the 19-year-old’s night ended with what the Lakers are calling a “moderate” right ankle sprain, the on-court performance by Russell (in front of a national television audience, no less) was absolutely spectacular.
In 29 minutes of play, Russell scored 27 points on 11-for-16 shooting, including 3-of-7 from three-point range. The second overall pick also added 4 assists, 2 rebounds and 2 steals. He was a game high +29.
The future is certainly very bright for this young man.
