Could Julius Randle be the Lakers’ man at the lucky number seven on June 26th? If his workout with the purple and gold today is anything to go by – and he’s still available when the Lakers are on the clock next week – there’s a chance the 19-year-old could be playing at Staples Center next season.

According to reporters on the scene in El Segundo today, Randle’s workout went well and the team were impressed by his “diversity.”

It seems his shooting was a talking point, too.

In the video below, which was posted by Lakers reporter Mike Trudell, Randle can be seen hitting a myriad of mid-range shots. The Kentucky product was also knocking down NBA three-pointers, according to Time Warner Cable SportsNet’s Dave Miller.

If Randle can be a consistent long range shooter in the NBA – he shot just 16 percent from three-point land during his freshman season – then he’ll definitely be a force to be reckoned with during his professional career.
