Tuesday night was the premiere of ABC’s new show Splash, where celebrities try their hand at diving. Included in the crop of celebs? None other than Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
The Cap performed a backwards flip dive (I’m pretty sure that some diving expert somewhere is cringing at my use of terminology here) and although he ended up belly-flopping instead of going in head-first, he still received the highest score of the night at 7.25, according to USA Today.
You’ve got to remember that not only is Kareem 7-feet tall, but he’s also 65-years-old (he actually turns 66 next month) so this was definitely a good attempt by him.
