On Saturday, Anthony Brown tuned 23-years-old. The good news for Anthony is that the Lakers took the day off. The bad news? He didn’t get to have his fellow rookies sing “Happy Birthday” to him!

Byron Scott had his back, though.

On Sunday, the Lakers held an open practice at Staples Center, and the team’s head coach made sure that Brown – and the fans in attendance – would get the show they deserve.

D’Angelo Russel, Robert Upshaw, Larry Nance Jr. and Michael Frazier were all made to stand in front of Brown – plus the crowd – and perform.

The rookies actually did a pretty good job as they sang the lyrics to a Stevie Wonder-style “Happy Birthday” while doing a little dance, too.
