VIDEO: Mike D’Antoni hints that Pau Gasol will get ball in the post, team won’t run often

Last season, Mike D’Antoni drove fans and players crazy with his insistence on playing Pau Gasol on the wing. Whether it was the right move or not (remember, Dwight Howard was on the team and the floor needed to be spaced someway or another) it looks like Gasol won’t be shooting long range jumpers all night this season.

In an interview with Stephen A. Smith, D’Antoni lists Gasol’s positioning on the wing – and the team trying to run too much – as rookie mistakes that will seemingly be avoided this season.

D’Antoni also shares his thoughts on Howard, and he also discusses the pressure that comes with being the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers.
