VIDEO: Stephen A. Smith talks about the chances of Carmelo Anthony joining the Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers may have lost out on Dwight Howard, but they probably won’t have to wait long until another star turns up on their doorstep.

Next summer, the Lakers will have heaps of cap space, meaning they can go free agent shopping. LeBron James will be the biggest target for them, but his success in Miami seems to make the prospect of him leaving for L.A. fairly far-fetched at this point.

However, one guy the Lakers will probably have a chance to land in 2014 is Kobe Bryant‘s good friend, Carmelo Anthony.

Stepehen A. Smith spoke today about the chances of the Lakers and Melo hooking up next summer.
