Yesterday, Shaquille O’Neal turned 43-years-old. Therefore, it’s probably a good time to look back at Shaq’s younger days – aka the days when he was terrorizing the league on a nightly basis.
Back on his 28th birthday in 2000, Shaq went off against the Clippers.
I mean, the dude just straight lit up the Lakers’ crosstown rivals.
In 45 minutes of play, Shaq scored 61 points on 24-of-35 shooting, including 13-of-22 from the free throw line.
The Big Fella also grabbed 23 rebounds and threw down a total of 11 thunderous dunks.
And of course, as always, Shaq put on a show.
Exhibit 1: 7’1″ man weighing 325 pounds runs the break like a point guard.
Exhibit 2: There were finesse moves.
Exhibit 3: He was running the floor like Usain Bolt.
Exhibit 4: Even Kobe was pumped as his teammate approached the 50 mark.
Exhibit 5: And Kobe was even more pumped after this play.
Exhibit 6: Game over.
What a player.
